Will my patients know they're talking to an AI?
In the vast majority of calls, patients cannot tell. Frontis uses ElevenLabs voices that are warm, natural, and conversational. However, if a patient directly asks "are you a real person?" Frontis will honestly say it is an AI assistant. In our data, fewer than 2% of callers ask this — and most still complete the booking.
What if it gets confused or makes a mistake?
Frontis has a built-in escalation protocol. If it cannot resolve a caller's need after a reasonable attempt, it says "Let me connect you with one of our team members — please hold" and transfers immediately. Is this HIPAA compliant? Do I need to sign a BAA?
